Description from the seller
Overview
The BLITZ BIG CALIPER KIT II is an engineered masterpiece designed specifically for the Honda Civic Sedan and Hatchback models (FC1/FK7) from 2017 onwards. This kit embodies performance and style, offering high braking capabilities tailored for street and performance enthusiasts alike.
Product Features
Featuring a lightweight yet robust 4 Piston aluminum forged braking caliper and a φ330 one-piece slotted rotor, this brake kit enhances your vehicle’s braking performance while ensuring superior heat dissipation. The average friction coefficient of the non-asbestos ceramic composite brake pads ranges from 0.40 to 0.47μ, providing outstanding grip and reliability. Each detail has been meticulously crafted to offer an optimal balance of strength and weight efficiency.
Enhanced Performance
With the introduction of slotted rotors, expect improved heat dissipation, which effectively mitigates brake fade and maintains optimal pad performance under demanding conditions. This brake kit is not just about looks; it has been rigorously tested, including use in the Racing Project Tsukuba time attack, proving its unparalleled stopping power and control.
Installation Guidance
Each kit includes all necessary components for installation; however, be aware that brake fluid and brake grease are not included. Please note that after installation, the original wheels will no longer be compatible, so it's essential to ensure the new wheels fit properly. Additionally, some modifications to the backing plate may be required; these modifications should be conducted with care to avoid any unintended deformation or debris left on the vehicle.
Appearance & Design
The calipers come in a stunning metallic red finish, beautifully contrasting with black bell housing to give your vehicle a sporty and aggressive look. The anodized finish (available on select models) may fade or peel under continuous high-temperature conditions, such as racing; however, it does not affect performance.
Usage Notes
Be aware that during cold conditions or when the brake pads are wet, you might experience normal brake squeaking due to the nature of the pads. It's essential to check the vehicle-specific compatibility chart before ordering to ensure that your model's specifications align with this brake kit.
